  • Staff Report

A 23-year-old Syracuse woman has died from injuries sustained in a May crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles at a busy Salina intersection, New York State Police confirmed Tuesday.

Rebecca Woodcock passed away on June 14 at Upstate Hospital. She had been hospitalized in critical condition since the May 30 collision at Factory Avenue and Lemoyne Avenue.

According to investigators, Rickey Belcamino, 67, of Syracuse, was driving a 2004 Dodge pickup southbound when he ran a red light and struck a westbound 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The motorcycle was operated by 35-year-old Michael Lembo, also of Syracuse.

Woodcock, a passenger on the motorcycle, was ejected on impact and struck a stopped 2018 Dodge SUV driven by Gregory Pacicca, 71, of Solvay. She was found unconscious and transported to Upstate Hospital.

No other injuries were reported. Belcamino was issued a traffic ticket for failure to obey a traffic control device.
