A fire that broke out Thursday afternoon in the village of Bath remains under investigation. Fire crews responded around 4:15 p.m. to reports of a blaze at 2 Chestnut Street, where flames had spread from a shop to an attached residence.

Firefighters cleared the scene by 6:15 p.m. No cause has been determined, and the investigation continues.
