Police search for suspect after stabbing in Ithaca

A manhunt is underway after a person was stabbed Thursday night during a dispute on West Green Street in Ithaca.

According to the Ithaca Police Department, officers responded around 9:45 p.m. on June 12 to reports of a violent altercation in the 300 block of West Green Street. When they arrived, they found a victim suffering from stab wounds.


Members of the Ithaca Fire Department provided emergency medical care at the scene. The victim was then transported to a trauma center for further treatment. The extent of the injuries has not been disclosed.

The suspect fled before police arrived and remains unidentified.
