A pair from Fulton are facing felony charges after allegedly stealing a gambling voucher worth over $1,000 from a casino patron in Union Springs.

Eugene Regan and Virginia Regan, both 50, were arrested on June 9 for grand larceny in the fourth degree, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was first reported in March, when Lakeside Entertainment contacted authorities. The casino alleged that two individuals had taken and cashed out another customer’s gaming voucher. Following an investigation, the suspects were identified and charged.

The sheriff’s office stated that “information gathered as a result of the following investigation established probable cause for the arrest.”

Both individuals were issued appearance tickets and released. They are scheduled to appear in Springport Town Court on June 25.

The Cayuga Nation Police assisted with the investigation.
