Downtown Canandaigua is blooming once again with its annual spring celebration, Canandaigua in Bloom, returning today with vibrant displays, live performances, and small-town charm. Visitors can explore Main Street’s overflowing floral arrangements, pop into seasonal shops, and grab free seed packets from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
At the heart of the event, the Words in Bloom literary showcase will host Finger Lakes authors for meet-and-greets, readings, and poetry workshops. Families can enjoy scavenger hunts and storytime, while the Chalk the Walk and Rotary Peace Pole ceremony round out the day’s community spirit.
For adults, the Sip and Stroll from 3 to 6 p.m. offers drinks and bites from local wineries and breweries. A passport system adds a fun twist, giving participants a shot at $500 in prizes.
