For the second straight season, Bloomfield softball is headed to the New York State Class C semifinals.

The Bombers earned their spot with a 6-0 victory over Section VI’s Chautauqua Lake in the Class C Far West Regional on Friday night. A fast start and another dominant outing from ace Ashlyn Wright powered the win, as Bloomfield struck for four runs in the first inning and never looked back
Wright was lights out in the circle, tossing a complete-game two-hitter with 14 strikeouts and just three walks. The senior threw 115 pitches over seven shutout innings, keeping the Eagles off balance all night.
Offensively, Sydney Falsone led the charge, going a perfect 4-for-4 with an RBI triple, two runs scored, and two stolen bases. Celia Falsone added two hits, including an RBI single, while Calla McCombs, Wright, and Abby O’Brien each contributed RBI as part of the Bombers’ 10-hit effort.
Bloomfield (21-1) will face Section IV’s Deposit-Hancock (20-2) in the NYS Class C Final Four on Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m. at Greenlight Network Grand Slam Park in Binghamton.
