Tompkins County is looking for a new voice to help guide Tompkins Cortland Community College, according to the Ithaca Journal. A volunteer position on the college’s Board of Trustees opens July 1, with a seven-year term for a county resident committed to higher education.
Trustees play a key role in the college’s direction—approving budgets, tuition, and academic programs while helping ensure long-term stability. The board also hires top administrators and steers the school’s strategic growth.
Applications are due by June 16 and can be submitted in person, by mail, email, or fax. Legislator Michael Lane called the role a chance to shape the region’s future and support economic vitality through education.
