Ithaca College elects four new trustees to board

The Ithaca College Board of Trustees has elected four new members who will begin their terms on July 1, the college announced.

Joining the board are Tsugumi Maki ’94, P ’25 as an alumni trustee, and Joseph Cantatore P ’28, Monica Digilio ’85, M.S. ’86, and Jeffrey Weiss ’72 as term trustees. Each will serve a four-year term.


Maki, director of the RISD Museum, has held leadership roles at major institutions including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. At Ithaca College, she previously led the Alumni Association Board of Directors and spearheaded strategic planning focused on alumni engagement and inclusion.

Cantatore, a certified public accountant, is the Global Head of Tax and Real Estate Accounting at Taconic Capital Advisors. He also serves on multiple boards for Taconic’s international subsidiaries and has extensive experience in tax strategy and financial operations.

Digilio, selected as the college’s 2025 Commencement speaker, is founder and CEO of Compass Advisors LLC. Her career includes executive HR roles with Caesars Entertainment, Atlantis Resorts, and Montage International. An IC alumna, she has also served on the Park School Board of Advocates.

Weiss is founder and managing director of CCI, which runs executive forums for national leaders in healthcare and technology. A clinical psychologist and adjunct professor at UCLA, he has held numerous advisory and trustee positions with educational and medical organizations, including Thrive Scholars and AltaMed.

The board also reelected six trustees to new terms and recognized several outgoing members. Douglas Weisman ’78 retired after serving the maximum consecutive terms. A board proclamation praised his “deep commitment to generously giving his time, talent, and treasure to Ithaca College in meaningful ways.”
