Takota Spencer allegedly tried to submerge his mother in a bathtub, claiming he was “releasing demons” from her. Police say he also destroyed her phone to prevent a 911 call and attacked an off-duty deputy who intervened.

Spencer faces charges including unlawful imprisonment, reckless endangerment, and resisting arrest. No trial date has been set.
