If you’re wondering why there are no new SSI payments going out in June 2025, you’re not alone. Millions of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients have noticed that their usual payment date—normally the first of the month—has come and gone without a deposit.
But don’t panic: your June payment already arrived early.
📅 Why No SSI Checks Are Scheduled for June?
The reason is simple: June 1, 2025, fell on a Saturday. The Social Security Administration (SSA) does not issue payments on weekends or federal holidays. When that happens, SSI benefits are deposited on the last business day before the month begins.
This year, that was Friday, May 31.
So technically, you already received your June payment—just early. No additional SSI check will be issued during the rest of the month.
✅ When Did June SSI Payments Go Out?
- Payment Date: Friday, May 31, 2025
- Covers: Your June 2025 SSI benefits
- Next Payment: Monday, July 1, 2025
This early deposit doesn’t reduce your total benefits for the year. You’ll still receive 12 SSI payments in 2025—just not one during the month of June.
💰 How Much Was the June SSI Payment?
The maximum federal SSI payment amounts for 2025 are:
- $943 per month for individuals
- $1,415 per month for couples
- $472 for essential persons
Actual payment amounts may vary depending on your income, living situation, and whether your state provides additional financial assistance.
👥 Who Gets SSI?
SSI provides financial help to people who are:
- Age 65 or older
- Blind or disabled at any age
- Living with limited income and financial resources
Many recipients also qualify for Medicaid, SNAP, and other state benefits that depend on timely SSI delivery.
🗓 What About Other Social Security Payments?
If you receive Social Security retirement, SSDI, or survivors’ benefits, your payments follow a different schedule, based on your birth date. Here’s when to expect those:
| Birth Date Range | Payment Date (June 2025) |
|---|---|
| 1st–10th | Wednesday, June 12 |
| 11th–20th | Wednesday, June 19 |
| 21st–31st | Wednesday, June 26 |
Note: If you receive both SSI and Social Security, your Social Security payment will arrive on Monday, June 3, 2025.
