Two public hearings on the agenda tonight for Victor Village Board

The Village of Victor Board of Trustees will meet tonight with two public hearings scheduled at the start of the session.

The first hearing will focus on a proposed amendment to Chapter 6 of the village code, which would revise the residency requirement for the Village Clerk. The second hearing will consider changes to Chapter 170, specifically updating the definition of livestock.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Village Hall on East Main Street. Public comment is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with individuals asked to keep remarks under five minutes.

The agenda also includes approval of minutes from the May 19 meeting, authorization of payments in Abstract #14, and a resolution to waive the 30-day liquor license waiting period for a business at 164 W. Main Street.

Mayor Sean McAdoo is expected to propose a public hearing later this month to add a new chapter to the village code that would address the recording of public meetings. The board will also consider an intermunicipal agreement for shared code enforcement services.

Trustee and mayoral reports are scheduled throughout the evening, with the meeting set to conclude with a report from the village attorney. The board’s next regular meeting is planned for Monday, June 16.
