A man is behind bars after State Police say he held employees at gunpoint during a robbery that netted over $15,000 in electronics from an AT&T store in Ontario County.
Troopers arrested 25-year-old Karrim G. Bouchet of Rochester on May 27 for first-degree robbery and third-degree grand larceny. Investigators say Bouchet entered the store on Recreation Drive in Hopewell, threatened staff with a firearm, and forced them to open the safe.
The stolen items included a large quantity of cell phones and accessories, according to the Bureau of Criminal Investigations at SP Canandaigua. Within two hours, Bouchet was identified and apprehended by State Police in Waterloo.
Bouchet was processed at the Canandaigua barracks and arraigned the following morning. He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or a $10,000 bond.
