Schuyler County Republicans elect new committee leadership

The Schuyler County Republican Committee has announced a new slate of officers to lead the organization as it gears up for future elections and community engagement.

Maryann Friebis was elected chair of the committee, joined by Norma J Martin-Burris as first vice chair and Barb Kelley as second vice chair. Margaret Rappleye will serve as secretary, and Rob Halpin was named treasurer.

“We want to thank the Republican Committee for their support,” said Friebis. “Together, we will continue to build a vibrant, inclusive Republican Party in Schuyler County, working to elect principled leaders and engage our community year-round.”

The committee said its mission includes promoting conservative principles such as limited government, individual liberty, and economic opportunity. During election cycles, members will focus on identifying and endorsing Republican candidates, organizing voter outreach, and hosting fundraising events.

Outside of elections, the committee plans to hold educational programs, public forums, and civic initiatives to connect with residents and advocate for policies that reflect the values of the county.
