  • Staff Report

Newfield’s $1.4 million town hall renovation is officially underway. The project will modernize the 1977 building with ADA-compliant offices, accessible bathrooms, and a new public meeting space.

Construction includes an addition for expanded offices and relocating key services like the sheriff’s satellite office to more accessible locations. Half of the project is funded by American Rescue Plan funds, with the rest supported by a bond and potential grants. Work is expected to finish by fall.

During renovations, meetings will temporarily move to local venues, while most town services remain uninterrupted.
