A Canandaigua man is facing felony charges after allegedly assaulting another person during a violent altercation earlier this month.
Daniel J. Novakowski, 51, was arrested on May 23 at 6:31 a.m. and charged with Strangulation in the Second Degree and Assault in the Third Degree. The charges stem from a reported disturbance at a Jefferson Avenue address on May 12.
According to investigators, Novakowski struck the victim, threw them against a wall, and placed his hand around their throat, causing physical injury.
He was arrested following the investigation and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
