A Rochester man has been charged with grand larceny after authorities say he stole more than $17,000 from his former employer in Victor over nearly two years.
Michael R. D’Amico, 30, was arrested on Tuesday, May 20, following a five-month investigation into financial irregularities at the business where he previously worked.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, D’Amico allegedly engaged in a long-term scheme between January 2023 and November 2024 to siphon funds, resulting in a charge of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D felony. He also faces 14 counts of Falsifying Business Records.
Investigators say the theft occurred through an ongoing course of conduct, but no further details were released about the methods used or the name of the employer.
D’Amico was arraigned at CAP Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Victor Town Court at a later date.
