New York State has selected nine projects to receive funding from a $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative grant awarded to the villages of Aurora, Cayuga, and Union Springs, according to state officials. The funding targets parks, housing, and community facilities.

Major investments include $2.5 million to redevelop Beacon Bay Marina and over $2 million to improve Cayuga’s McIntosh Park. Union Springs will see a new mixed-use building and upgrades to Frontenac Park, each receiving over $1 million.

Additional projects span apartment redevelopment, historic preservation, and a waterfront park in Aurora. Officials say the investments mark a turning point for long-term regional growth.
