A Hornell woman is facing misdemeanor charges after allegedly stealing services from the Steuben County Department of Social Services.

Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard announced that deputies arrested Natasha M. Judkins, 37, of Ransome Street, on May 13. Investigators allege that between February and March, Judkins knowingly stole $349.08 worth of services.

She has been charged with petit larceny and misuse of food stamps, both class A misdemeanors. Judkins was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Bath Court at a later date.

Sheriff Allard credited the Steuben County Department of Social Services Fraud and Legal Affairs Unit and the District Attorney’s Office for their roles in the case.
