Two women were arrested following a standoff in Horseheads after deputies uncovered stolen goods, firearms, and drugs, according to authorities. Jennifer Savage, 44, and April Greene, 45, face multiple felony charges including grand larceny and possession of stolen property.
Authorities said the investigation began after an eviction in Elmira Heights led to reports of missing items. A search warrant at a Matthews Circle home recovered thousands of dollars in stolen goods, a stolen parrot, and four dogs.
Though Savage and Greene were processed and released, officials said the home was condemned and further arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
