A New York State Police vehicle and a passenger car collided Thursday morning on State Route 5 in the Town of Herkimer, sending both drivers to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:17 a.m. near Eatonville Road, according to officials.
Both the State Trooper and the driver of the other vehicle were transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that their injuries were not life-threatening.
The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash. Officials stated that more information will be released as it becomes available.
