Trump administration adds 10 new critical mineral projects to Federal Dashboard

The Trump administration added 10 new mineral production projects to the Federal Permitting Dashboard today. This move builds on efforts to increase U.S. domestic mineral production under President Trump’s Executive Order on mineral independence.

The projects gain transparency and accountability through the FAST-41 permitting process.

Boosting critical minerals production

The Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council announced the second batch of projects selected for the dashboard. These projects will benefit from faster environmental reviews and clearer tracking for all stakeholders.

“The transparency these projects will receive will be transformative,” said Acting Executive Director Manisha Patel. “It ensures accountability often missing from traditional permitting.”

List of new projects

The newly added projects include:

  • NorthMet
  • La Jara Mesa
  • Roca Honda
  • Greens Creek Surface Exploration
  • Stillwater Mine
  • Polaris Mine
  • Becky’s Mine Modification
  • 3PL Railroad Valley Exploration
  • Grassy Mountain Mine
  • Amelia A&B

These projects join the initial 10 announced on April 18, 2025. More projects will be added in the coming weeks.

Fast-tracking American mineral dominance

The Permitting Council and the National Energy Dominance Council (NEDC) are working together to deliver on President Trump’s energy agenda. By showcasing projects on the Federal Dashboard, they aim to make America a leader in critical mineral production.

The public dashboard provides real-time updates on permitting stages, helping federal agencies, developers, and communities track project progress.
