A Stanley man was arrested after a search warrant uncovered cocaine and an illegal weapon at his home.
Jeffrey R. Holtby, 42, of 1927 State Route 245, was taken into custody on April 23 after Ontario County Sheriff’s Office investigators found cocaine packaged for sale and a semi-automatic rifle classified as an assault weapon under New York law.
The search warrant was executed by the Special Investigations Division following a lengthy investigation into the sale of cocaine. During the search of Holtby’s residence, investigators seized the controlled substance and the illegal firearm.
Holtby was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. He was arraigned and held on $10,000 cash bail. The charges will be answered in Seneca Town Court at a later date. The Geneva Police Department assisted in the investigation.
