A 14-year-old was arrested Tuesday morning in the Town of Ovid after allegedly using tools to damage a vehicle.
Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson said the teen is charged with criminal mischief in the third degree. Investigators allege the youth used a wooden stool and broken shovel handle to repeatedly strike a vehicle, breaking the windshield, rear windows, headlights, and taillights.
The juvenile was released to a guardian with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear before probation at a later date to respond to the charge.
