A devastating crash in Tioga County Tuesday left two dead — including a 9-year-old boy — and two other children critically injured, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. on Route 6 in Sullivan Township when a Towanda Area School District vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a commercial truck. The driver, 66-year-old Ronald Wickwire, and the young passenger died at the scene. A 12-year-old and a 6-year-old were airlifted to the hospital.
The cause remains under investigation as the community mourns and Route 6 remains partially closed.
