Veteran attorney and lifelong Seneca Falls resident Emil Bove Jr. announced his candidacy for the Seneca Falls town board, joining the race ahead of the June 24 Republican primary.
Bove, who has practiced law in New York State for over five decades, emphasized his deep experience in public service and his long-standing connection to the community. He previously served on the town board that implemented the Village Dissolution and held roles as a State Assistant Attorney General, a Town and City Attorney, and currently practices law with Midey, Mirras & Ricci LLP.
“There are no easy solutions to the challenges we face, but I believe that when we come together and set aside personal differences, we can find the answers we need to move Seneca Falls forward,” Bove stated.
Beyond his legal work, Bove has held leadership positions with numerous local organizations, including the Seneca County Industrial Development Agency, the Seneca County United Way, and the Seneca Falls Historical Society.
“My goal is simple: roll up my sleeves on day one and get to work. We need to bring back stability and order to our Town Board meetings, and we need to work together—across party lines—to make meaningful change for the people of Seneca Falls,” he added.
Bove lives on State Street with his wife Lorrilyn. They have two sons: Emil III, an attorney, and Vincent, a naval officer.
