A man wanted for multiple violent offenses was arrested Saturday in Syracuse after resisting officers and being found armed, according to police. The arrest of 33-year-old Kyle Williams on Wolf Street was captured in a social media video showing officers struggling to detain him.
Police say Williams had felony warrants related to three separate domestic violence cases, including threats involving a gun and a machete. During the arrest, he resisted commands and reached for his waistband, prompting officers to use what police called “tactical strikes.”
After subduing him, officers recovered a loaded handgun, knives, a straight razor, and fentanyl. Williams faces numerous charges, including weapon possession and resisting arrest.
