Drivers in Yates County can expect road closures and detours this summer as the Highway Department rolls out its seasonal construction and maintenance projects, according to the county’s latest release.
Two main roads—Ferguson-Corners Road and Guyanoga Road—will be milled in late April and early May, then repaved in June. Italy Valley Road will fully close for 3 to 4 weeks for culvert replacement, while a four-month bridge rehab will shut down Pre-emption Road near Bellona. No start dates have been announced for either closure.
Additional chip seal work is expected across several county roads, including Himrod, Hobson, Flynn, and City Hill, though final scheduling remains pending.
