Waterloo Woman Arrested After Hit-and-Run in Seneca Falls

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

A Waterloo woman is facing felony drunk driving charges after she allegedly struck another vehicle and fled the scene in Seneca Falls.

Mary R. Keenly, 54, was arrested on April 11 by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department following a motor vehicle accident on Bridge Street. Police say Keenly backed her vehicle into another car in a parking lot and drove away without stopping.

The driver of the struck vehicle was able to flag her down in a nearby lot on Fall Street. Officers responded and determined that Keenly was operating her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Her blood alcohol content was measured at 0.08% or higher.

Further investigation revealed that Keenly’s New York State driver’s license had been revoked due to an aggravated DWI conviction in 2023. She was charged with driving while intoxicated with a prior conviction, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, and additional felony DWI charges.

Keenly was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Seneca Falls Town Court.
