New York Attorney General Letitia James called recent accusations from President Donald Trump “baseless,” after a federal housing official alleged she falsified property records to secure favorable loan terms.
James denied claims of mortgage fraud, clarifying that disputed property listings were either clerical errors or properly disclosed. She reaffirmed her commitment to holding Trump accountable and said she will formally respond to the accusations in due time.
Addressing the NYC mayoral race, James hinted at endorsing a drama-free candidate, distancing herself from former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whom her office previously investigated.
