Second-grade students at Skoi-Yase Primary School in Waterloo officially became published authors this year with their class book All About Animals, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Led by teacher Grace Kennedy and her team, students researched, wrote, and illustrated pages about their favorite animals. After meticulous editing, the class submitted their work to Studentreasures Publishing. Each student received a copy and an award recognizing them as published authors.
To celebrate, Kennedy hosted a publishing party on April 2, where students proudly shared their work with family and school officials.
