The Town of Canandaigua has announced Greg Reynolds as its new Director of Parks and Recreation, ushering in a new chapter for the town’s outdoor spaces and community programs.
Reynolds brings a robust background in public service and wellness to the role, including nearly 24 years in government civil service and experience in health, recreation, education, and construction. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a master’s in Exercise Science and Health Promotion.
“Greg brings with him a wealth of experience, a deep passion for public service, and an exciting vision for the future of our parks and recreational spaces,” the Town shared in its announcement.
Since 2014, Reynolds and his family — wife Sarah and daughters Kate and Amelia — have called Canandaigua home. As director, he aims to bring the town’s Parks Master Plan to life, working to expand and improve parks and trails across the community.
Residents are encouraged to welcome Reynolds and stay tuned for enhancements to the outdoor amenities that make Canandaigua a vibrant place to live and play.
