Shed Destroyed in Richmond Fire, House Spared

  • Staff Report

Firefighters from four departments responded to a blaze Monday evening that destroyed a shed at a Richmond home but left the main residence untouched, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to 3835 Oneill Road around 7:49 p.m. on April 14 for a reported structure fire. Investigators say no one was home at the time, and the fire was confined to a shed on the property owned by 40-year-old Travis J. Snyder.

The shed was fully destroyed, but fire crews were able to prevent the flames from spreading to the nearby house. Responding units included the Bristol, Richmond, East Bloomfield, and Hemlock fire departments. Richmond ambulance also assisted on scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ontario County Fire Coordinators Office.
