Geneva’s town and city governments have teamed up to open a new resource recovery park aimed at reducing food and organic waste, according to local officials.
Located on Doran Avenue, the facility will open Thursdays and Saturdays and also accept trash and recyclables with proper permits. Funded entirely by USDA and state environmental grants, the site includes a composting trench and marks the start of a nine-month pilot program.
The city will supply equipment, while the town will staff the site. Officials also approved new security cameras and grant applications to support local business expansion.
