Deputy Sheriff Marshall King has completed a major milestone in his law enforcement career, graduating from the Basic Course for Police Officers at the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy on April 9.
The intensive program included more than 1,000 hours of instruction and training, culminating in a rigorous field training phase. King was among several graduates representing agencies from across the southern tier.
With his graduation, Deputy King will now join the Patrol Division, where he will serve the community in his official capacity.
Sheriff Thompson praised King’s achievement, stating, “We are very proud of Deputy King and look forward to his continued success in this organization. We also wish for his safety as he begins this challenging career.”
