A Rochester man is facing charges after a child under his supervision consumed alcohol during a domestic incident in the Town of Lyons.

Richard Brown, 46, of Skyview Center Parkway in Rochester, was arrested following an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the incident took place in December while Brown was helping a friend move.

According to the sheriff’s office, Brown was assisting Robert Homer with moving Homer’s ex-wife into an apartment on Spencer Street. On the night of December 13, Homer allegedly left a juvenile in Brown’s care to make a trip to the store. Deputies allege Brown, who had become intoxicated, allowed the underage child to drink alcohol.

Brown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawfully dealing with a child. He was issued appearance tickets for a later court date in the Town of Lyons.

Homer was previously charged in connection with the same incident. Authorities say additional charges may be pending for others involved.
