Police in Seneca Falls are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman who failed to pay restitution following a criminal conviction.
The department issued a warrant for 35-year-old Laura E. Britt, who is wanted for violating the conditions of her Conditional Discharge. The original charge against Britt was criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.
Britt is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 162 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes. Police say she failed to comply with a court order to pay restitution related to her previous conviction.
Anyone with information about Britt’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Seneca Falls Police Department at 315-568-4850. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through the department’s website at https://senecafalls.com/gov/dept/police/tip/.
Police remind the public not to take any action themselves if they see Britt, but instead to notify authorities immediately.
