Corning library hosts read-in for National Library Week

  • Staff Report

The Southeast Steuben County Library will hold a community read-in on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of National Library Week. This year’s theme, Drawn to the Library, highlights the many reasons people use library spaces.

Participants are invited to read quietly together, bringing their own books or choosing one from the library’s shelves. The event also aims to raise awareness about proposed federal cuts to library funding and underscore the vital role libraries play in local communities.

More activities are listed on the library’s Facebook page.
