The New York Yankees and the YES Network have announced the debut of “The Stadium,” a behind-the-scenes docuseries that offers fans an unprecedented look at what it takes to bring Yankee Stadium to life.
The series, which showcases never-before-seen areas and operations of the iconic venue, will premiere its first episode on Monday, April 14, immediately following the Yankees Postgame Show on the YES Network. Episodes will also be available for streaming via The Gotham Sports App.
The premiere episode focuses on the massive preparations required to ready the Stadium for Opening Day. From food service and merchandise to security and field maintenance, the show captures the intricate orchestration behind welcoming thousands of fans to the Bronx each game day.
Doug Behar, the Yankees’ Senior Vice President of Stadium Operations, describes the effort as nothing short of running a small city. “The logistics are incredibly complex, but we pull it off because we love what we do, and we know how much it means to each and every person who steps foot inside our building,” he said.
Each monthly episode will explore a different facet of stadium life, narrated entirely by the employees who make it all happen. Their candid reflections aim to give viewers an intimate, authentic look at the challenges and triumphs of hosting baseball games, concerts, soccer matches, and more.
