Canandaigua man faces drug charge after early-morning traffic stop

A late-night traffic stop in Canandaigua led to the arrest of a man now facing a felony drug charge.

Daniel R. Rosenzweig, 42, was arrested on April 5 after deputies pulled him over on State Route 332 in the Town of Canandaigua. Authorities say Rosenzweig was driving with both a suspended license and a suspended vehicle registration.

During the stop, deputies conducted a search and found that Rosenzweig was in possession of crack/cocaine. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Ontario County Jail. He is being held pending central arraignment processing.

Rosenzweig is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. He is scheduled to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.
