A woman from Farmington died early Saturday morning after her vehicle left the road and struck a tree in the town of Geneva.
Deputies identified the victim as 36-year-old Alyssa Coleman. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Coleman was driving east on County Road 4 when her car veered off to the south side of the road and hit a large tree.
Deputies and first responders arrived at the scene shortly after 2:20 a.m. and found Coleman deceased. Investigators believe excessive speed and alcohol may have played a role in the crash.
The Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Team and the Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene and closed County Road 4 for approximately three and a half hours during the investigation.
