A downtown Geneva favorite marked a major milestone this month as Simple Sweets Bakery celebrated its 10th anniversary with a Member Milestone Celebration hosted by the Finger Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
The event, held March 14, honored a decade of growth and success for the bakery, which first opened its doors in 2015 on Linden Street under the ownership of Marina Howard. In 2017, the business expanded into a larger space at 93 Castle Street, where it continues to serve up custom cakes, comfort sweets, and award-winning cookies.
Over the years, Simple Sweets has gained widespread recognition in the community and beyond. The bakery earned a Gold medal for Best Cookie and Silver for Best Bakery in the FLX Finest awards in both 2022 and 2023, with multiple nominations rolling in again for 2024.
Guests at the Chamber celebration enjoyed food samples and a chance to meet Howard before gathering for a group photo and brief remarks from the bakery’s owner.
