Wayne County hiring senior account clerk under HELP Program

Wayne County is seeking a Senior Account Clerk through its HELP Program, which temporarily waives Civil Service exams to quickly fill vacancies. Qualified candidates can gain permanent status after six months by passing a Qualified Incumbent Examination.


The position, based in the Treasurer’s Office, involves financial record-keeping and requires accounting knowledge. Applicants need a high school diploma with relevant experience or college coursework in accounting. Residency in Wayne or surrounding counties for at least one month is required.
