Special election set for Cayuga County clerk on Nov. 4

A special election for Cayuga County clerk will take place on November 4 to fill the seat vacated by Brian Scanlan, who resigned after 15 months in office. The winner will serve the remainder of the term, ending in 2027.


Kristine Lytle has received endorsements from the county’s Republican and Conservative committees. The election will proceed regardless of any interim appointment by the governor.
