Syracuse men’s lacrosse rebounded from a slow start to dominate Manhattan 18-2 on Tuesday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.

After being held scoreless in the first quarter, the 10th-ranked Orange (6-2) erupted with nine goals in the second, led by Trey Deere’s four-goal performance. Joey Spallina contributed two goals and four assists, pushing his career points total to 199, while Owen Hiltz added an assist, leaving him just two points shy of 200.

Box Score

The Orange overwhelmed the Jaspers (4-4) with a staggering 71 shots, their highest total since 1997. Defensively, Syracuse shut out Manhattan in the second half, marking their first scoreless defensive half since 2021.

Faceoff dominance played a key role, as Syracuse won 21 of 23 draws. John Mullen led the way, securing 14-of-15, with contributions from Jack Fine, Paul Lamonaca, Drew Angelo, and Johnny Richiusa.
