The Finger Lakes and Central New York experienced severe wind gusts exceeding 70 mph on Sunday as a storm system moved through Upstate New York. The strongest gusts—72 mph—were recorded in Skaneateles and Scipio Center, with several Finger Lakes locations seeing 60+ mph winds.
