  • Staff Report

The Victor Town Board met last week covering town infrastructure, financial expenditures, and hiring decisions for the Parks Department. The meeting featured an update on the town’s stormwater management efforts, as well as approvals for park improvements and highway equipment purchases.

Stormwater Management Update

Stormwater Program Manager Will Emblidge provided an update on the town’s compliance with state and federal stormwater regulations. Officials emphasized that the town continues stormwater pond inspections and erosion control measures to prevent flooding and protect water quality.

Financial and Infrastructure Approvals

The board reviewed Manifest No. 5, approving expenditures across public works, parks, and administrative operations. Among the larger payments approved were:

  • Road maintenance and materials
  • Parks and recreation facility upgrades
  • Utility and municipal service costs

Additional resolutions passed by the board include:

  • Hiring two motor equipment operators for the Parks Department (not the Highway Department, as previously stated).
  • Purchasing a tire changer and wheel balancer for the Highway Department garage.
  • Approving an agreement with Bayer Landscape Architecture for Phase 2 improvements at Harlan Fisher Park.
  • Authorizing the acquisition of an easement by the Monroe County Water Authority.

Upcoming Events and Announcements

Supervisor Jack Marren announced that a Vietnam Veterans Ceremony will be held on March 18, during which U.S. Rep. Joe Morelli will present lapel pins to local Vietnam War veterans.

The board also briefly discussed law enforcement reports, fire district updates, and town employment trends before moving into an executive session on personnel matters.
