Victor prepares for Chick-Fil-A public hearing for Eastview Mall project

  • Staff Report

The Victor Planning Board confirmed that a public hearing for a proposed Chick-fil-A restaurant at 10120 Eastview Mall Drive will be held on March 25. The announcement came during the board’s March 11 meeting, where officials reviewed the project’s initial details and its potential impact on traffic and surrounding businesses.

Project Overview

The proposal calls for a 5,331-square-foot quick-service restaurant featuring a double-lane drive-thru and an outdoor patio. Chick-fil-A is seeking approval for site plan modifications and the necessary special use permits to accommodate the high-traffic nature of its business model.

Traffic and Site Concerns

While the project has yet to be formally discussed in a public hearing, initial concerns have been raised regarding traffic congestion at the mall’s entrance points. Given Chick-fil-A’s popularity and drive-thru volume, board members anticipate extensive discussion on potential traffic flow adjustments.

Board representatives also noted that the Victor Planning and Building Office is reviewing the site plan to ensure it meets zoning requirements and environmental considerations.

Next Steps

The March 25 public hearing will allow residents and business owners to voice their concerns and provide input on the project. Chick-fil-A representatives are expected to present traffic impact studies and mitigation strategies at that time.

The Victor Planning Board will continue its review process following the hearing, with a final decision expected later this spring.
