Driver airlifted after fiery crash on Clark Road in Arcadia

A driver suffered severe injuries after crashing into a tree and igniting a fire in Arcadia, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

Brent Heidrick, 47, was driving a Chevrolet Colorado on Clark Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway, slammed into a tree, and burst into flames. Emergency responders rushed to the scene at approximately 3:05 p.m. on Sunday.

Heidrick was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital with multiple serious injuries. Deputies were assisted at the crash site by the Marbletown Fire Department and Wayne County EMS personnel.

Authorities have not released additional details about the cause of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
