Sheriff: Discharge violation leads to arrest in Seneca County

  • Staff Report

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson reported that deputies arrested Michele M. Vargason, 33, on the night of March 3 on an outstanding warrant for violating the terms of her conditional discharge.

The warrant was issued after Vargason failed to pay restitution, fees, and fines as required by the Seneca County Probation Department. The conditions were set following her conviction in the Town of Tyre Court for harassment in the second degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.

Authorities took Vargason into custody after she was arrested by an agency in Onondaga County for an unrelated matter. She was then transferred to the custody of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.

Following her processing, Vargason was turned over to the Seneca County Jail, where she was held until her arraignment in the Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Court.
