The Ontario County Conservative Party has officially thrown its support behind District Attorney Jim Ritts for reelection, citing his dedication to public safety and his commitment to the community.
In a unanimous decision, the party endorsed Ritts, emphasizing his efforts to protect Ontario County residents. “Jim has worked tirelessly on behalf of the citizens of Ontario County in order to keep us safe, and we are confident he will continue to do so if reelected,” the party stated in its endorsement.
Ritts, who has served as district attorney, is expected to campaign on his record of prosecutorial leadership and law enforcement collaboration. With the Conservative Party’s backing, he strengthens his position heading into the upcoming November election.
Meanwhile, Republican Jason MacBride has announced his candidacy for DA earlier this month. The Republican primary is set for June 24, but Ritts’ endorsement from the Conservative Party means he’s guaranteed to appear on the ballot in November.
“Jim has worked tirelessly on behalf of the citizens of Ontario County in order to keep us safe, and we are confident he will continue to do so if reelected,” the Conservative Party said in a statement. “We look forward to supporting Ritts in the upcoming November election.”
